Talentegy’s award-winning initiative addressed a common challenge for large employers: recruiting data spread across multiple systems without a clear way to determine which investments were producing quality candidates and hires. For the Fortune 50 retailer featured in the submission, that challenge existed at significant scale, with more than 116,000 open jobs across 2,000+ U.S. locations and recruiting data distributed across its ATS, career site, media partners, and more than 50 recruiting sources.
Talentegy unified that data into a single analytics environment and shifted measurement from applicant volume to downstream outcomes such as candidate quality, hire rate, and cost per hire. Within the initial implementation period, the platform analyzed 1.59 million applications, 587,000 quality candidates, 105,000 hires, and $2.49 million in media spend. The analysis revealed that 63% of applicants did not meet the organization’s quality threshold, a 5.8x quality-rate gap between the highest- and lowest-performing sources, and significant variation in cost per hire, giving leaders clearer insight into where to invest and how to optimize recruiting performance.
