Our executive team has been focused on the talent industry for over 20 years. We have worked with the world's biggest brands on employer branding, recruitment marketing, digital HR transformation, sourcing and talent management through a history of award-winning and industry leading products and services. We have now turned our attention and the focus of Talentegy towards helping companies of all sizes to maximize their user experiences through our unique technology platform.

Dwaine Maltais

Co-founder and CEO

After starting in recruiting technology in 1994 Dwaine founded the world’s first job distribution technology platform, SmartPost. He then joined Bernard Hodes Group in 1999 through the acquisition of his company forming their e-Recruiting Solutions division where he launched the award-winning Hodes iQ ATS in 2001. Most recently, Maltais was EVP of Technomedia, a Talent Management technology provider where he led US operations and global corporate executive functions. In late 2016, he again followed his entrepreneurial passion to co-found Talentegy maintaining a deep commitment to aligning client success with innovation in support of a company’s most important resource, its talent.

Stephanie Ralston

Co-founder and EVP, Operations & Customer Success

Stephanie has more than 15+ years of leadership experience in integrated global talent management solutions, and was a co-founder of SmartPost, a best-in-class, SaaS jobs distribution and optimization platform. Upon acquisition, by Bernard Hodes Group, Ralston, led the Operations Division, Hodes iQ e-Recruiting Solutions. After leaving Hodes, Stephanie co-founded a successful defense consulting company where she served as Vice President, Operations & Finance.

Shawna Berthold

Co-founder and EVP, Marketing & Operations

Shawna brings over 20 years of experience in talent management technology, marketing and client relations to her leadership role at Talentegy. Most recently, she was VP of Marketing at Technomedia, which was acquired by Cegid, where she ran the company’s global marketing, PR, and analyst and partnership activities in support of their award-winning Talent Management Suite. Prior to that, Shawna led marketing and communications for Hodes iQ’s e-Recruiting Solutions division (part of the Omnicom family). Before joining the company’s software business line she led the regional digital practice in addition to heading up branch operations during her time with Hodes.

John Julio

SVP, Business Development & Strategic Alliances

John Julio brings more than 25 years of HCM expertise in recruitment marketing, employer branding, agency relations and HR technology to Talentegy. He's been a trusted advisor to client partners spanning from start-ups to the Fortune 10. His background also includes advising HR Tech companies on how to streamline their onboarding process and go-to-market strategies.

Ralston has more than 15+ years of leadership experience in integrated global talent management solutions, and was a co-founder of SmartPost, a best-in-class, SaaS jobs distribution and optimization platform. Upon acquisition, by Bernard Hodes Group, Ralston, led the Operations Division, Hodes iQ e-Recruiting Solutions. After leaving Hodes, Ralston co-founded a successful defense consulting company where she served as Vice President, Operations & Finance. Ralston holds a US Government Top Secret Clearance.

Shawna Berthold

EVP and Corporate Secretary

Shawna brings over 20 years of experience in talent management technology, marketing and client relations to her leadership role at Talentegy. Most recently, she was VP of Marketing at Technomedia, which was acquired by Cegid and now part of the Sliver Lake portfolio, where she ran the company’s global marketing, analyst and partnership activities in support of their award-winning Talent Management Suite. Prior to that, Shawna led marketing and communications for Hodes iQ’s e-Recruiting Solutions division (part of the Omnicom family). Before joining the company’s software products side of the business, she led the regional digital practice in addition to heading up the Seattle branch during her time with Bernard Hodes Group.

Scott Smith

Advisor

Scott Smith is the founder of Qualtrics, a global platform and leader in customer experience and insights management. Scott received his PhD in Marketing from Penn State University. Scott is a Professor Emeritus, Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University. Qualtrics began as an extension of Scott’s marketing background, research and interests. In 1997, with his sons Ryan and Jared Smith, and Stuart Orgill, Qualtrics was born as a boot strap start-up in his basement. Currently, more than 8,500 enterprises worldwide, including two-thirds of the Fortune 100 and 99 of the top 100 business schools, rely on Qualtrics technology. He spends his free time with his family, traveling the world and serving in various capacities in his church and community. 

William Tincup, SPHR / SHRM-SCP

Advisor

William is the President of RecruitingDaily. At the intersection of HR and technology, he’s a Writer, Speaker, Advisor, Consultant, Investor, Storyteller & Teacher. He's been writing about HR related issues for over a decade. William serves on the Board of Advisors / Board of Directors for 17 HR technology startups. William is a graduate of the University of Alabama of Birmingham with a BA in Art History. He also earned an MA in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

John Vlastelica

Advisor

John Vlastelica geeks out on all things talent. He spent the first half of his career as a corporate recruiting leader with companies like Amazon and Expedia, and the last 12 years leading a consulting and training firm, Recruiting Toolbox, which focuses on helping companies optimize their recruiting functions, raise the bar on talent, elevate recruiters to Talent Advisors and improve Hiring Manager capabilities. His clients include startups to big global brands. John’s passion for talent acquisition is shared as an instructor for recruiting leadership labs, as an author of popular white papers and guides, a judge for recruiting excellence awards and as a speaker at conferences around the globe. John is a part-time critic, part-time optimist, who has fallen in love with the problems we face in the talent space.
